Website Roast AI ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data.

1. Data Collection

We believe in absolute data minimization. The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, browsing history, or keystrokes to our servers.

When you click "Start AI Roast," the Extension extracts the following data from the currently active tab:

• Page URL
• Page Title & Meta Description
• Headings and Button text
• A small sample of paragraph text

This data is sent securely via a temporary, one-time payload to Pollinations AI (our third-party AI provider) to generate the roast text and analytical feedback.

2. Third-Party Services

• Pollinations AI: We use Pollinations API to generate the roast content. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not send any user-identifiable information to them.
• Razorpay: If you choose to upgrade to the Premium Plan, payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see, touch, or store your credit card information.

3. Data Storage

Any gamification ranks, roast limits, and premium license keys are stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your browser and is never uploaded to any remote database.

4. Permissions Used

• activeTab: Used strictly to read the text of the webpage you actively click "Roast" on.
• scripting: Used to highlight bad UX elements and inject visual effects (like the Eye Tracking heatmap) on the active page.
• storage: Used to save your gamification rank and premium license key locally.
• tts: Used for the optional AI Voice roast feature.
