1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We believe your browsing activity is strictly private. Our extension does not collect any data from you:

• No Personally Identifiable Information (name, email, IP address, device IDs)
• No Browsing or Search History
• No YouTube Account Credentials or Passwords
• No Video Watching History or Keystrokes
• No Analytics, Telemetry, or External Tracking Pixels
• No Cookies Created, Read, or Transmitted

2. Local Storage Usage (chrome.storage)

The extension uses Chrome's built-in chrome.storage API solely to persist your own personal preferences on your machine. This data never leaves your device and includes:

• Selected Protection Mode (e.g., Full Protection, Ad Blocker Only, or Music Skipper Only)
• Music detection sensitivity level (Low, Medium, or High)
• Sound and notification preference toggles
• Local skip counters (number of ads skipped and time saved)

All stored preferences can be deleted immediately at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data.

3. Permissions Justification

To deliver its single purpose, the extension requests the absolute minimum necessary permissions:

• storage — Required to save your customized extension settings locally on your machine.
• https://www.youtube.com/* (Host Permission) — Required to inject content scripts into YouTube video watch pages to detect ad elements, click native skip buttons, read subtitle markers for music skipping, and display in-player control buttons.

The extension does NOT request access to any other website, tab, or domain.

4. Zero Remote Code

All scripts, stylesheets, and assets are packaged and bundled directly within the extension package file. The extension contains zero eval() calls, no external scripts loaded from CDNs, and strictly adheres to Google Chrome Manifest V3 remote code execution prohibitions.

5. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not partner with third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers. Because no data is collected, no data is sold, transferred, or monetized under any circumstances.

6. Children's Privacy

The extension is a family-safe utility that does not collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, in strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
